East Elmhurst Emergency Plumber Heating & Cooling was set up so that families, landlords and co-op boards in East Elmhurst and the surrounding neighborhoods have a plumbing and heating crew that actually picks up the phone. That means no hourly billing surprises, no pressure to buy equipment you don't need, and no waiting until Monday for a callback.
Working from 81st Street, we spend our days in the brick two-family houses of East Elmhurst, the garden co-ops of Jackson Heights, the multi-family buildings of Corona and the rowhouses of Astoria and Sunnyside. We know how those buildings are piped and heated, which helps us find problems faster.

Northern Queens buildings, inside and out
A large part of northern Queens was built in the first half of the 20th century. On a typical week we repair steam and hot-water boilers, clear cast-iron and clay sewer lines and replace galvanized water pipes — and we install tankless heaters, mini-splits and heat pumps too. We follow the city's rules closely: Under NYC HPD heat season rules (October 1 – May 31), indoor temperatures must reach at least 68°F from 6 AM to 10 PM whenever it is below 55°F outdoors, and at least 62°F overnight from 10 PM to 6 AM no matter the outdoor temperature. NYC HPD requires building owners to provide hot water all year at a constant minimum of 120°F.
